Yonkers Partners in Education Family Literacy Program
In Yonkers, New York, many children live at or below the national poverty level. Yonkers Partners in Education provides 8,500 primary grade students with a bag filled with books to read at home each week, accompanied by bi-lingual instructional materials for parents and caregivers. Upon returning the bag, each child receives different titles for the following week.

Another great project - we must encourage reading among our students and for these students who live at or below the poverty level they especially need the encourage and support as many of them do not get it at home.
