TechnoServe Consolidating the Gains - Small Scale Farmers
TechnoServe is helping develop Uganda's matooke banana industry, benefiting thousands of small-scale farmers. The "Consolidating The Gains" project aims to increase the incomes of smallholder farmers in southwestern Uganda by reducing the transaction costs along the banana value chain. The project has reached 26,000 farmers in the districts of Mbarara, Isingiro and Ntungamo in south western Uganda. Technoserve Consolidating the Gains for Small Scale Farmers is an Acumen Fund East Africa Fellows Program.
