KiBO Foundation

KiBO provides Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and leadership training programmes to East African youth with a focus on creating work and entrepreneurial opportunities. More than 250 young people have taken KiBO’s 15 week intensive training program. The goal is to reach 200 more each year. More than 1,000 have participated in and benefited from KiBO volunteer activities. ‘KiBO’ is derived from the Chagga word “Kipoo”, the highest peak of Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro, symbolizing out goal of working with youth in East Africa to achieve greater heights. KiBO is a project of the Acumen Fund East Africa Fellows Program.
