Healthy VIDA
The VIDA project is a campaign to end the epidemic levels of dietary disease (obesity, hypertension, and diabetes) now facing rural Mexico through compact, high-yield home gardens and nutritional counseling. We believe that access to good nutrition is a basic human right, and that no one should be unable to afford the cost of eating healthy. Vida is the Spanish word for life. The Vida project aims to restore the opportunity to lead a healthy life for families in the Sierra Norte mountain region of Central Mexico.
