fragile oasis

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." - Thomas Jefferson I am simply a humanitarian, yes I've slept walked most of my physical life but now I am aware and trying to wake up the rest of the population. We only have ourselves to blame for not participating. We need to be respectful of all sides of the arguments; but, we need to start working TOGETHER to solve the difficult problems society now faces. Our spiritual leaders and yes even our political leaders all want the same things you and I do. We just have different perspectives as to how to get there. I can see all sides. I am all parties. I am all faiths. I being in good conscious can no longer remain silent. There are good ideas on every side of the isle. The problem is most people watch sound bites....myself included in the past, without hearing or seeing the whole story in it's context because the press has sensationalized it. I've spent a little time researching the issues that matter to me. No one side has all the answers. Ron Paul has my support because he has good ideas and believes in protecting our liberties, The Republicans and Tea Party want to protect industry and enterprise. The Democrats want human rights, clean environment and social programs. These are all good ideas. I am for all of them. Listen to what Rep. Steny Hoyer D-Maryland, Minority Whip 5th District has to say on tax cuts for the rich: "Society as a whole ought to take care of it's most vulnerable citizens not the wealthy." On Education: "If I spend on a peel grant it will pay off a return for over 3/4 of a century. When I attended my first semester of college in 1957 college tuition for the first semester was $86.00!" My god do you know anything else that has inflated at that rate? I don't or can't think of one except maybe housing? Look everyone, if you don't know what is going on. Find out! Do some research. Turn off the reality shows and the sitcoms and start paying attention. C-Span is free you want to see dedicated public servants working to make things better for you and I, you'll find them there. At least they are doing something or trying to! We have a few good ones on every side of the isle, some even have some good ideas, but imagine if we all participated how many more, better ideas would be on the table? The Monetary system will fail because it is an unbalanced equation that CAN NEVER be balanced this is a simple fact and truth. It's the only system we have. We are currently stuck with it. instead of yelling across the isles we better grow up, accept responsibility that we spent our children's future away frivolously. I am against war. I am for preserving human life. I am for business, but not in a model where it's only incentive is profit. I am for equality. I am a futurist, humanitarian and a free thinking individual Let's all stop complaining me included ;) and start looking for solutions. Hey, here's an idea I have...We switch to a system of sweat equity, i.e. you get public access to everything based on the sweat equity you put into the system; and, that level of access is determined by the quantity of sweat equity put in to the system. The system takes care of it's young and old. It educates its population and encourages participation. It fosters creativity. It values all life. It does not waste because it manages it's resources it's number one resource is people, then it's the environment. It is law full; however only good laws that protect the citizenry are on the books. Here's why it's a better model, it is an equation that CAN be balanced! It would prevent freeloaders and laziness, level the playing field for those born into disadvantaged environments, and create a stronger more fair and equal society. Prove me wrong. I challenge each and everyone of you to. If you can't join me in reaching out to the hive and spreading this idea. We have now the knowledge, the technology and the vision. Let us all make this happen for everyone on the planet. Focus people!
