Laboratory In Space

From the blog post:

Lots of fun and interesting science with a quick break for the arrival of Progress (unpiloted resupply ship). That means even fresher fruit and care packages for us, as well as lots of supplies, including our EVA cables…more on that in a later post. We are not the experts in ...

Cleopatra? how funny! reminds me of the notorious Cleopatra herself :D Poor spidernauts dont even know where they are! lol Thanks for the info on the experiments, pretty interesting. Glad you're enjoying the grapefruits and apples, cheers!

ITS NICE TO HAVE FUN IN SPACE

Great bone density workout on the treadmill in microgravity. Good to see crewmates sharing food amongst each other after going off the Pro K diet. Nice to spend time together and catch up on the Olympics.

I loved reading about the exercises you're doing, and especially liked the photo of your table with all the velcro. We actually saw the Space Station go over us last night when we were watching for shooting stars. It was really bright.

Dear Suni, I have a few questions: - how can you describe the feeling of running in space I mean in 0 gravity (I see you are connected to the ground with elastic ropes I guess) and what is the difference with the sensation you have on our Fragile Oasis when you run ? - I know this can be misinterpreted but what about if we also opened the space exploration and astronauts programs to people who don't have legs or have disabilities ? Is it actually open to people with these characteristics ? I don't think it shouldn't be. Anyway they wouldn't be able to recover the bone density once the mission is finished but what if they lived forever in space ? I am not talking about experimenting this on them but in case a cure to bone loss would have been discovered wouldn't space exploration program could be open to all the people on Earth ? I seriously think this could become a Project on Fragile Oasis and also become a source for motivating future experiments and discoveries to make space accessible to all kind of humans. Never forget people that have the so called handicaps. We might help each other instead of thinking just that we can help them they have abilities that we don't have or access and not have needs instead we have. I am not saying that we are different... this is the point! The paragraphs about the experiments on Spiders are wonderful. that's Amr project! He's a cool guy! I'd like to know more about any plant experiment and vegetable growing, synergic garden you have ... that would be a cool experiment. An experiment on swimming in water on the ISS would be amazing. I would like to see you guys swimming in a closed pool and would like to see how it is. There is a slower speed when you swim in g0 water ? From the outcomes we might discover ways to bring a garden on a "ISS of Mars" so that then we can bring plants into the Red Planet and somehow terraform it. I wanted to know if ISS might be suitable for to be used as a ISS for mars and be converted to become a ISS of MARS or a spacecraft that brings you there. Could it be ? Thank you
